About Us

We want to rekindle some of the magic of childhood which seems to have diminished over the years.  Research has shown that our kids are some of the unhappiest in the world; that some children get to be outdoors less than adult prisoners; and that their most wished-for thing is to share time with their family and friends.  So what if we took the digital noise down a notch?  What if we introduced a little bit of ‘analogue calm’ and a lot of outdoors to our families?

Through developing our stories, books, puzzles and games we want to inspire shared family moments.  We want Camp Dodo to be a sanctuary of magical characters, creating a space for family connection whilst celebrating nature and the outdoors.  We believe that the connections we make with nature and with each other are key to human happiness and health.

Our quirky creatures stand for something, they are creatures lost to our world.  By bringing them and their endangered friends back into focus, we are saying that some of the old ways are exciting and imaginative.  Don’t forget them.
